Based on a True Story….. I bring you the life of Bekah Graf.
Tell me about who you are:
BK: “ I grew up in Corpus Christi, TX. It’s a small-ish city about 2.5 hours from San Antonio,
right on the Gulf of Mexico.
It’s a sweet little beach town and I couldn’t have picked a better place to have a wonderful childhood.
I have 3 sisters, and absolutely incredible parents, and am very close with all of them.
The arts were a major part of my life growing up.
We all played competitive piano, and saw as much live theatre in San Antonio as we could.
My parents stressed the importance of travel and exploring the world,
and I think that a lot of that is what gave me the confidence/ambition to explore a career in acting.
After high school, I went to The University of Texas in Austin.
Austin is one of my favorite cities that I have ever visited,
and feel so incredibly lucky to have been able to live there. I was a theatre major.”

Did you always want to be an actress?
BK: “I did! My sisters and I were completely addicted to musicals and classic films,
and we constantly put on plays for my parents and friends in our living room.
From an extremely early age, I was completely fascinated with the stories that I would watch on the screen,
and the actresses who told them. Judy Garland, Natalie Wood, Bette Davis, Lucille Ball…
I was amazed by how powerful and brave these women were.”

What has been your favorite movie or show to be on?
BK: “Oh goodness. Such a hard question. Different ones for different reasons.
I worked on a little lifetime film a few years back,
where I was lucky enough to meet and work with some of my very best friends,
so that will always be special to me.
Honestly, my favorite part of every project is the people that you get to meet while working on it.
The Dirt is no different. Incredibly talented, incredibly quality people that I feel so lucky to work with and know.”

How are you preparing to portray Heather Locklear? Have you met her?
Side Note: The Dirt has an incredible cast, please say hi to Douglas Booth and MGK for me :) )
BK: I haven’t met Heather yet, but would love to!
I have rewatched Melrose Place, (of course) read The Dirt,
and read as many articles about her at that time in her life, as I could get my hands on.
I have long adored Heather Locklear, and am incredibly flattered to have this opportunity to portray ---
her/tell her story. And yes, our cast (including Douglas and wonderful Colson <MGK>) is pretty incredible.
Our director, producers and writers are all mind-glowingly talented--
and went to great lengths to fill our cast with quality, talented humans.

What's it like being in a scary movie? Are you a fan of them?
BK: “Haha, I AM NOT. I get scared WHILE filming scary movies.
I didn’t sleep basically the entire last week of filming Amityville,
because I terrified myself by googling photos of the actual murder. Why did I do that. Whhhhhhyyyyy.”

If you could guest star on any show what would it be and why?
BK: “Oh man. So many. Working with Jane Fonda would be a dream, so Grace and Frankie-
would have to be at the top of the list. I’m pretty hooked on a show called Goliath right now.
The directing and acting in every episode is flawless.
Absolutely nothing makes me laugh harder than Schitt’s Creek.
Catherine O’Hara is an absolute genius. I would love to work on a show that was set in a different era,
or even a fictitious world. Having the opportunity to step that far out of your everyday life,
would be unbelievably incredible.”

Have you ever been starstruck by someone you co-starred with?
BK: “I haven’t really! Everyone I have worked with has always been incredibly kind and down to earth! “
If you could have dinner with three people who would it be and why?
BK: “Jesus Christ (why? The son of God thing is pretty interesting…have a few questions for him),
Carl Sagan (I am beyond fascinated and mystified with the Universe (who isn’t?),
Oprah (She is a perfect human, and she would be able to eloquently phrase every question.
I’m sure that I would get so nervous that I wouldn’t be able to speak).
Can I add another? Dolly Parton. Dolly just makes the world a better place.”
