Let's test your Bachelor knowledge if you're a real OG fan. We're going all the way back to The Bachelor season 12 (2008) when Matt Grant was The Bachelor. That's when we met one of my favorite contestants Holly Julian (Durst), she may not have found love that season but she sure did when Bachelor Pad aired for its second season in 2011.
Not only did she find love with her now husband Blake Julian (The Bachelorette season 7) on the second season of Bachelor Pad but she also won $250,000 which she split with her co-winner.
Who's Matt Grant? Who's Holly Julian? What's Bachelor Pad? Yeah, you're not a true Bachelor OG fan.
But no worries, you're about to get to know one of my all time favorite contestants as well as her time on both shows and about the children's book she wrote.
So as always, let's get to it!
I give you Holly Julian part time reality star, princess, and author!

Tell me about you!
HJ: I grew up in a tiny town in Ohio in my family of 7. I moved to Los Angeles about a year after graduating college and that is where my life truly began to blossom. I had a very serious boyfriend and out of nowhere we broke up but I had never been more thankful because just over a month later I was asked to be on The Bachelor. Because of that, I married Blake and we live our wonderful like in Greenville, South Carolina.
Growing up, did you think you’d ever be on reality tv?
HJ: Well, growing up, Reality TV wasn't invented yet. But, I've always felt like I would enjoy being on television. I still feel like that. I'm going to need The Bachelor franchise to create a show for all the married couples.
Let’s go back to your first time night on The Bachelor; what were you feeling? Tell me about your experience.
HJ: I was in disbelief throughout most of the first night of filming. At the time there were so many shows airing that tricked people into thinking they were on another show. I didn’t believe I was actually on The Bachelor until Chris Harrison walked into the living room and then I let myself relax because I trusted the process. Don’t get me wrong, I was still a bundle of nerves. I had never been on TV. I had only ever watched 2 episodes years prior so I didn’t know what to expect. Like most contestants, I feel like I blacked out when I got out of the limo. I didn’t remember what I said until it aired months later.
You’re a children’s author, tell me about your first book & do you have plans for anymore?
HJ: I published my first children’s book "Chocolate Socks" right after I returned from Bachelor Pad. The book is about a little girl who has a desire to create something and follows her dreams to do exactly that. It is an encouraging book teaching children to go after what they want in life! Even adults should be following that advice. As for other books, I've written them but yet to get them published!
What do you do now for a job besides being an incredible author?
HJ: I actually have 5 jobs. My most favorite is my spray tanning company, The Bronzed Banana. I started spray tanning over 12 years ago. (I even spray tanned the winner of my season on the show.) When I'm not in my hometown tanning the women of Greenville, I'm traveling around the country tanning beauty pageant contestants.
My other jobs- Author of Chocolate Socks, Dental assistant at Blake's office Signature Smiles, Owner of a princess party entertainment company called Greenville Princess and I also model as well. I keep myself very busy!
What was it like winning Bachelor Pad 2?
HJ: Winning Bachelor Pad was incredible! It was icing on the cake after finding love on the show! I’ll forever be grateful to The Bachelor franchise for everything.
If you had the chance to be on any other reality show which would it be?
HJ: I would be on Big Brother! I live for that show in the summer!
What’s something people may not know about you?
HJ: I'm vegan. Which means I don't eat anything that comes from an animal. I haven't had meat in 7 years and I've never felt better! I want to challenge everyone to watch at least one documentary. I watched "Veducated" and it changed my life. Here are a few to choose from... Cow Spiracy, What The Health, Earthlings, Forks Over Knives, Maximum Tolerated Dose, Live and Let Live, The Ghosts in our Machine, Eating Animals or The Game Changers.
If you could have dinner with three people who would they be and why?
HJ:
The 22nd & 24th President of the United States, Grover Cleveland because I love the history of presidency and I know the most fun facts about him.
Zac Efron- I want to sing all the Greatest Showman songs with him.
Brian Niccol- He is the CEO of Taco Bell. I would tell him all the reasons why I should be in the next Taco Bell commercial.
