Makayla Brownlee in Whitterview 69

It's Sunday you're laying in your bed all cozy staying safe and catching up on TV. I have something for you to add to your Sunday night TV line up. It's American Idol. Tonight they're in Hawaii  (pre-recorded) with the top 40 contestants. One of those 40 is 17 year old Makayla Brownlee.

Makayla has quickly turned into not only one of my favorites but my mother's favorite contestant this season.

Last week, we saw her suffer a scary health problem on stage which we talk about in this interview, but she came back, she SAAANNNNGG, and she made the top 40.

So let's get to it. I'm pleased to introduce you to Makayla Brownlee!

Makayla Brownlee | American Idol Wiki | Fandom

Tell me about you!
MB: I grew up in Wellington Kansas in a very musical family. Very small town where everyone knows everyone. I spent a lot of time at the lake with my family!

Growing up did you ever think you'd be on American Idol?
MB: Growing up I never really thought that I would be on American Idol. It wasn't a specific dream for me but the last two years I have worked super hard to get on the show.

When did you start singing?
MB: I've been singing since I could talk pretty much. But I've been performing since I was seven.

What has been your favorite performance on Idol so far?
MB: My favorite performance on idol was definitely the duet rounds. (She sang an Adele duet with fellow Idol contestant Lauren Spencer Smith)

Who are some of your favorite musicians?

MB: Some of my favorite musicians are Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and Brett Young.

If you could duet with anyone in the music industry who would it be?
MB: It would probably have to be either Carrie Underwood or Brett Young.

What made you choose to audition for Idol and not the Voice?
MB: I've been a big fan of the Voice as well but the door to American Idol opened first and I wasn't going to risk losing that opportunity. Looking back I'm so glad I chose Idol over the Voice. It's been amazing!

American Idol' Contestant Makayla Brownlee Suffers Seizure Before ...

Can you talk a little more about your condition, which we saw on last weeks episode?
MB: In seventh grade I was diagnosed with a condition called vasovagal syncope. Everyone has a nerve that runs through the brain, heart, as well as other places. When my heart rate goes up my nerve over reacts and causes me to faint, causing a seizure as well. I also have pseudo seizures which are non epileptic seizures. I've also been diagnosed with pots disease. Pretty much a bunch of underlying issues all in one.

Who do you get along with the best on the show?
MB: Lauren Spencer Smith, Makayla Phillips, Olivia, Natalie Jane, Dillon James, Louis Knight, and more.

Tell me a fun fact about yourself?
MB: I love snake hunting and I love turtles. I'm also a really good bowler.

Who is your celebrity crush?
MB: Brett Young

If you could have dinner with three people who would they be and why?
MB: Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Ritchie, just because they are a huge part of my life and I would love to have the chance to talk to them about a bunch of things.

Tune into American Idol tonight at 8/7c on ABC!

From Heart Surgery to Criminal Justice to MTV, Jenna Compono is here in #Whitterview 31

It all started on The Real World Ex-Plosion, Jenna Compono's first show of many that aired on MTV. From there she moved on to The Challenge and was able to come out with some money from them after winning several challenges.  In this latest installment of the #Whitterview series, we get to know Jenna and her experiences on the shows she has been on.  Lets get to it! Meet Jenna Compono!  Tell me about yourself JC: I grew up in NY with a huge family. I am one of six and have over 50 first cousins. My mom is one of seven and my dad is one of eight, so you can imagine the amount of cousins at my family parties! I loved growing up with a huge family. We did everything together, birthdays, holidays, vacations, graduations etc. I recently just became an aunt for the first time to baby Stella, who is absolutely adorable. Right now I nanny and do reality TV which takes up a good amount of my time, besides working I love going to the gym and hot pilates when ...

Two Time Challenge Champ Ashley Mitchell in Whitterview 48

I'm sure we've all asked ourselves about what would we do if we won a million dollars? I have, countless times. So I decided to go to the queen of MTV's The Challenge and ask the million dollar winner herself. We first met Ashley Mitchell on The Real World: Ex-Plosion, from there she went on to gracing our television screens on The Challenge series. Ashley is at the top of the list for Challenge vets as she has won the most money. She won season 29 and season 32 (Invasion of the Champions and Final Reckoning.) She won a million dollars in season 32. I mean, she does hold the record for most money won by a cast member and the record for the most money won in a single season- so that does make her the queen, am I right? I couldn't be the only one shocked that she went home right away this new season of The Challenge. (Yo- wish she could have been brought back somehow to shake up the game!) Anyway, with all this being said let's get to know the queen herself in...

Jessica Kelsey Amlee of Greenhouse Academy in Whitterview 26

Last year, a new show popped up under my Netflix options and it seemed interesting enough for me to start since I needed yet another show to help me procrastinate my college homework. Oh, what's the show called you ask? Greenhouse Academy. Check it out and catch up the first two seasons on Netflix. On Greenhouse Academy you'll meet troubled girl Jackie, new to the Greenhouse Academy after just having robbed a bank. Jackie is played by Jessica Kelsey Amlee who you will get the chance to meet right now. Tell me about who you are: JKA: I am originally from Vancouver, Canada. More specifically a little suburb just outside of Vancouver, called, Maple Ridge. A very little town, where everyone knows each other; Which ensues safety and drama. I personally believe I have the greatest parents in the world (though most people think the same.) My parents met when they started a band called Cream Soda (in the 80’s), my father being the drummer and my mom the singer. My dad now...
